By converting a manual, paper-based process into an automated system that communicated instantly with institutions and officials, Lokitech not only revolutionized conference processes, it saved ECAC nearly $50,000 in postage alone. Further development added an online payment service that allowed ECAC to pay officials for the schools directly. In 2002, Lokitech founded PrestoSports to bring this integrated online solution to the larger college athletics community.
Continuing innovation. By 2004 PrestoSports had not only added many clients and become the official web developer for the Northeast-10 Conference, but had forged a breakthrough solution that enabled Atlantic Hockey to run a real-time scoreboard that posted real-time scoring and statistics for all rounds of the Championship Tournament. By 2006, PrestoSports had become ECAC-SIDA’s Official Technology Partner and launched new tools, including the Online Awards System and a robust content-management system that replaced the need for HTML training classes and a dedicated webmaster so anyone in the athletic department or conference office could now update the website.
