Tom Azzara, Associate Director of Athletics, Farmingdale State

Chris is responsible for bringing in new customers. He is the lead sales person, manages sales and marketing initiatives, and provides market research. He is tasked with meeting our customer number and revenue goals. 

Prior to joining PrestoSports in 2005, Chris spent nine years leading Sports Systems from a small segmented company into a leader in sports technology.  Originally just a fax company, Sports Systems expanded their services to include website hosting, web clipping, conference calls and online credential management.  Though his primary focus was on college athletics, he expanded the brand to include Olympic national governing bodies, pro basketball, pro hockey, rodeo and minor league baseball.

He remains dedicated to the collegiate student-athlete, working intently with both the Metropolitan (NYC) Basketball Writers’ Association and Black College Sports Information Director’s Association to promote stellar student-athletes. Additionally, He works in media relations at several high-profile events each year, including the NOKIA Sugar Bowl, NCAA Frozen Four, Women’s Final Four, and playoff games for the New York Yankees. Additionally, he has performed contract work for ESPN, CBS and CSTV.

Chris graduated from Hobart College with a degree in Classics. He lettered in football and worked in the sports information office for three years, where he worked with national championship teams in men’s lacrosse and women’s field hockey.
