PrestoSports is pleased to announce that after three successful years as a Manager of University Relations at CBS College Sports, Ted Bardach accepted the position of Vice President for Business Development at PrestoSports. He assumed his new role Monday, Sept. 15.

"We couldn't pass up the opportunity to bring Ted to our staff," says Patrick B. Summers, PrestoSports vice president. "He has the experience and relationships in college athletics that will benefit the growth and direction of this company. And he's yet another staff member who has worked in college athletics - something that allows him to directly relate to our existing and potential clients.

"Every fan of a PrestoSports client wants to know who won the game as soon as possible, so our mission is always to best understand the goals and demands of college athletics and how the company can implement technology to create a streamlined information process for our clients. Ted is coming on board at a critical and exciting time. His understanding of this market will continue to push PrestoSports to the forefront of college athletics."

As Vice President for Business Development, Bardach's emphasis will be on the continued growth of PrestoSports - a company that has increased its client base from 70 to 140 clients in the last six months. The PrestoSports Network currently hosts schedules and contests with over 700 colleges and universities accessing and inputting information every day.  In this new position, Bardach will focus on new business and strategic relationships that will assist PrestoSports and PrestoSports clients.

While at CBS College Sports (formerly CSTV), Bardach oversaw more than 35 accounts, helping each partner increase the revenue generated from its athletic web sites while growing the fan base, successfully marketing products, and assisting with local ad sponsorships.

Bardach's focus included a number of partners in the Big East and Atlantic 10 Conference; and he enjoyed an extremely high success rate in reaching out to non-partners to discuss the services offered by CBS College Sports

"The last three years at CBS/CSTV were fantastic," says Bardach. "However, I'm happy to have joined the PrestoSports team and welcome the challenges that come with building PrestoSports into a major player in the college athletics web site arena."

Prior to joining CSTV, Bardach spent nearly a decade involved with college basketball programs. Bardach served as director of basketball operations at Georgetown University under Craig Esherick and as a graduate assistant at the West Virginia University under John Beilein. Bardach also spent four seasons as assistant coach at Marymount University under head coach Chuck Driesell.

A 1994 graduate of Wittenberg College, Bardach earned a master's degree in sports management from West Virginia University in 2003. He and his wife, Emily, reside in Arlington, Va. with their two sons: Jackson (3) and Tyler (2).
