PrestoSports has promoted veteran sports marketer Chris Gonzales to Vice President for Sales and Marketing. Gonzales has spearheaded the company's growth through relationship-based sales since joining the company in August, 2005.

PrestoSports, a leading provider of athletic content management software to colleges and conference offices, has experienced unprecedented growth under Gonzales' sales leadership - doubling its client base in the last 10 months. Since Gonzales has joined the company, PrestoSports gained a national presence, spreading beyond the Mid-Atlantic and New England base into areas such as Arizona, California and Texas.

Gonzales came to PrestoSports from Sports Systems Services, Inc. For nine years, he helped the Fort Lee, N.J.-based company transition from a fax broadcast company into a multi-faceted sports technology company. Along the way, he developed contacts in college and amateur athletics, motor sports, professional hockey, soccer, basketball, tennis and rodeo.

No stranger to athletic administration, the 1993 Hobart College graduate worked in athletic administration at Worcester (Mass.) Polytechnic Institute and Manhattanville (N.Y.) College. Gonzales remains active in college athletics, administering Player of the Week awards for the New York Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association, the Provident Bank Pride of Maryland Basketball tournament and as a statistician for schools and events including at Army, Georgetown, the Allstate Sugar Bowl, and numerous NCAA championships in a variety of sports. Additionally, he has worked for several professional sports teams and leagues handling game-day duties, including the New Jork Jets, Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, and the New York Yankees.

He has spoken and presented at several professional workshops, including the SEME East Conference.

Originally from the metro New York City area, Gonzales recently returned to the Tri-State area and resides in Rockland County with his faithful black lab Einstein.
