Serge Knystautas has served as the Chief Executive Officer at PrestoSports since its founding as a part of Loki Technologies in 2002.

Using his experience of over 16 years in application development experience, Knystautas has architected and developed a content management system geared for high traffic, rapid publishing workflow and complex site architecture.  Via the PrestoSports system, editors can quickly publish and manage stories and sports information while webmasters and JavaScript developers can easily customize this information's appearance using HTML, Flash, RSS, and Ajax.

Knystautas has worked with everything from low level machine code to enterprise architectures.  His work over the past ten years has focused on using and promoting Internet technologies, from Java evangelism to open source adoption and electronic commerce.  Much like the athletics clientele PrestoSports services, Knystautas is most comfortable in a fast paced environment with numerous deadlines and ambitious technical requirements.

Knystautas, the founder and President of Loki Technologies, has consulted a diverse client list over the past decade. He teamed with Caucho to serve as Director of Professional Services for customers including Hotels.com, InterContinental Hotel, Villanova University, the Department of Homeland Security and more to use commercial and open source tools to achieve performance and stability gains. Other work has included that for Global Giving, J.P. Morgan, Bankers Trust, Credit Suisse and more.

A champion of the open source community, Knystautas is the founder and chairman of project committer for Apache James, an enterprise SMTP, POP and NNTP server written in Java. A Java and Internet technologies developer since 1995, Knystautas created the Hibernate Tags project which simplifies use of Hibernate in simple JSP applications. He is also the creator of Javascales project on Sourceforge.net.

Knystautas is a graduate of the University of Maryland where he majored in Physics and Mathematics. He also completed his MBA at Thunderbird University, ranked by U.S. News and World Report as the top international business school.

Knystautas makes his home in Kensington, Md. with his wife Mee and their three daughters Claire, Maxine and Alice. Dr. Mee Knystautas completed her Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of Maryland.
