Director of Site Development
Arizona '96 robb@prestosports.com |
Veteran college sports administrator Robb Modica has provided
web solutions to PrestoSports clients since 2005. Modica, an
administrator for three NCAA conferences and the founder of a
national web-based schedule management system, provides feature
development and client support as Director of Site Development.
Modica was promoted to Director of Operations for Customer
Services in September, 2008. In his supervisory role, Modica
maintains day-to-day operations of all web site clients, assuring
efficient site setup, launching, support, and design. He also
focuses on implementing new features and coordinating client
trainings, and communicating to the development team the needs of
existing clients in terms of product enhancement, bug fixing, and
overall usability.
Prior to his promotion, Modica had overseen PrestoSports' Product Management during the greatest growth period in company history.
In 2005 Modica founded D3Scoreboard.com, a service providing web-based schedule and standings management systems to track schedules, results, and standings, for NCAA conferences. In September 2007 PrestoSports acquired D3Scoreboard through a transition with which Modica successfully assisted. PrestoSports' acquiring D3Scoreboard.com resulted in the creation of the full-service PrestoSports Network, a sought-after nationwide network of schedules and scores which powers more than 40 conferences and institutions of higher education across the country, and assists in result gathering for media sites such as d3hoops, d3football, d3baseball, d3soccer and more.
Modica has an extensive background in both collegiate communications and operations as well as in web design. He has served as the communications director for three NCAA Division III conferences and designed or redesigned websites for the North Atlantic Conference (NAC), Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association (UCAA) and New England Sports Network (NESN).
A graduate of the University of Arizona and Springfield College, Modica came to PrestoSports after serving in a variety of capacities in college athletics conferences and institutions. Past positions include Assistant Director for Conference Operations with the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), Assistant Athletic Director at Vassar College, and a year as an Asa Bushnell intern at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) after earning his masters degree at Springfield College in Sports Management.
Prior to his position with the NESCAC, Modica served as the
interim Assistant Athletic Director at Vassar College and spent a
year as an Asa S. Bushnell intern at the ECAC after earning his
masters degree at Springfield College in Sports Management.
Modica remains directly involved in college athletics as the Sport
Communication Coordinator for the North Atlantic Conference (NAC)
and New England
Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA). These positions include
maintenance of the conference website, coordination of the
Conference Player of the Week and post-season honors programs in
addition to compilation of conference statistics and publicity for
NAC championships.
