Patrick B. Summers
Chief Operating Officer
Wheaton '94 patrick@prestosports.com |
Veteran college athletics administrator Patrick Summers has created innovative solutions with PrestoSports since February, 2003. Summers leads strategic planning, product development and operations for the growing web solutions company.
Summers has guided PrestoSports through a period of unprecedented growth. The company has doubled its client base and expanded its reach to colleges, businesses and other clients across the United States.
In Summers' tenure, PrestoSports has grown from an idea into a reality - taking an under served market and using technology to create solutions which allow the maximization of staff and resources for its clients. The 1994 graduate of Wheaton College in Norton, Mass. has been instrumental in the efficient management of company overhead, development of the company's corporate culture and all staff management.
Summers, a tennis letterwinner at Wheaton, has championed the company's support and training systems through which client satisfaction has resulted in a 100% retention rate.
Before joining PrestoSports, Summers spent six years as the Assistant Commissioner for Championships and Technology at the Eastern College Athletic Conference. The former Asa S. Bushnell intern with the ECAC was responsible for the championship financial analysis and budget projections for the nation's largest conference. He negotiated sponsorship and event contracts resulting in added value to the conference office and its membership.
Summers utilized his technology background to help launch the conference's first web site and move the conference's officiating and championship administration online - resulting in increased revenue for the conference.
Before joining the ECAC, Summers worked as the Assistant to the Executive Director of Athletics at Wheaton and as the Assistant Athletic Director and Head Varsity Tennis coach at Connelly School of the Holy Child.
Summers has been an active alumnus at his high school and college. Summers serves on the alumni board at St. Anselm's Abbey School in Washington, D.C. He also volunteers as a career mentor and liaison for athletic networking at Wheaton College.
