The Lone Star Conference has partnered with PrestoSports to
launch a redesigned web site to boost its Internet presence. The
site, www.lonestarconference.org,
was officially launched today.
“The conference website serves as the primary vehicle in
gaining visibility for the Lone Star Conference, and it also can
play a key role in communication with our various internal and
external constituencies. For those reasons, we are thrilled about
the new design, the partnership with PrestoSports, and the
possibilities that come with using their web solution,” said
LSC commissioner Stan Wagnon.
Guests on the LSC site will notice an updated look in addition
to the use of Really Simple Syndication (RSS) web feeds from the
conference member web sites, which allows the site to be a
convenient stop for up-to-date information.
“A great number of people are visiting the LSC website each
day, and we’ve got to capitalize on that opportunity and
present our story in an attractive manner. There’s plenty
good to tell about the LSC and its 15 member institutions, and this
new website gives us a platform to do just that,” Wagnon
added.
The revamped web site includes enhanced navigation, graphics and design to enable the browser to utilize the site more proficiently. Some of the custom solutions consist of an online awards system and secure member’s only section.
“The PrestoSports system will allow us to become more efficient in the way we operate and update the site, while also enhancing our ability to communicate, both in distributing and processing information,” stated Wagnon. “The PrestoSports staff has worked long and hard to give our site an appealing, innovative and useful design. I’m grateful to Patrick Summers and all the folks at Presto, as well as Melanie Robotham, who led the efforts on my staff. Their work has resulted in a real showpiece for the Lone Star Conference.”
