FAIRFIELD UNIVERSITY PARTNERS WITH PRESTOSPORTS, MAAC MEMBER TO LAUNCH NEW WEB SITE THIS SUMMER

ROCKVILLE, Md. - Fairfield University, an NCAA Division I member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, has partnered with PrestoSports to create imaginative web solutions for its athletic department. Members of the Stags staff will begin tailoring FairfieldStags.com through the PrestoSports system for a summer site launch.

PrestoSports will provide the primary web solutions for the Fairfield University athletic department, featuring virtually unlimited flexibility and the latest software innovations. The company will partner with Penn Atlantic to provide live video streaming and Sportstoday to handle online merchandising.

Fairfield competes in 19 intercollegiate sports. The Stags field men's teams at the NCAA Division I level in baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming and diving and tennis. Fairfield women's sports include: basketball, crew, cross country, field hockey, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, volleyball. 

Seventeen of Fairfield's teams compete in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference where the Stags have consistently finished among the top programs in the Commissioner's Cup race. Fairfield served as the host institution for the MAAC's men's and women's soccer, men's and women's basketball and softball tournaments in the 2006-07 academic year. The men's lacrosse team faces off with some of the nation's top programs in the ECAC Lacrosse League, while the field hockey team has recently moved into the America East Conference.
