NEWMAC LAUNCHES NEW CONFERENCE WEBSITE
ROCKVILLE, Md. - The New England Women's and Men's
Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced today that it has launched a
new conference website, www.newmacsports.com,
powered by PrestoSports.
The new, user-friendly site allows the conference to highlight the achievements of its student-athletes in various formats, while appealing to a broader audience. In addition to its sleek new design, the site features comprehensive pages for each of the conference's 18 sports, an interactive scoreboard and fan poll, as well as important conference administrative tools.
The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference consists of ten highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
The NEWMAC sponsors competition within NCAA Division III in the sports of cross country, soccer, basketball, tennis, lacrosse, swimming & diving, field hockey, volleyball, crew, track & field, softball, baseball and golf.
The NEWMAC began competition in the 1985-86 academic year as the New England Women's 6 Conference. Since 1998, the conference has sponsored conference competition and championships for women's and men's athletics.
