ECAC HOCKEY DEBUTS LIVE SCOREBOARD, ECACHOCKEY.COM BRINGS LIVE STATS FROM THE RINK TO YOUR COMPUTER
ROCKVILLE, Md. - ECAC Hockey, an
NCAA Division I Hockey Conference featuring student-athletes from
12 of the nation's most prestigious institutions, will offer live
score and statistics updates through its web site for men's and
women's ice hockey games this season. The conference office has
teamed with PrestoSports to
provide these instant updates from the rinks to its new website at
www.ecachockey.com.
During each ECAC Hockey contest, the conference scoreboard will
make scores with time and period immediately available. In
addition, the conference scoreboard will take fans rinkside with
complete live in-game statistics as they are entered into the
scoring computer. At the conclusion of each game, this data will
also immediately update the conference standings.
"In a league as competitive as ECAC Hockey, everyone wants to know the scores at the other rinks. The feature should be a great way to help fans follow all the action," PrestoSports Vice President Patrick Summers said. "Instead of phoning other press boxes or refreshing multiple sites, this is one-stop shopping for those following our league. We're excited the league office has asked us to provide this solution."

Hockey launched its interactive new web site this
fall. The site features information on each of its league members,
daily news updates and now standings and scores which will be
updated instantaneously during league play.
Member institutions of ECAC Hockey include: Brown, Clarkson, Colgate, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, Quinnipiac, Rensselaer, St. Lawrence, Union and Yale. Players
from the past and present include All-Americans, National Team
Members, Olympic gold medalists, and NHL greats.
