OCCIDENTAL COLLEGE PARTNERS WITH PRESTOSPORTS, FOURTH SCIAC MEMBER TO LAUNCH NEW WEBSITE THIS WINTER
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Occidental College, an NCAA Division III member of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), has partnered with PrestoSports to create web solutions for its department of athletics. Located in Los Angeles, Occidental is the fourth member of the SCIAC to partner with PrestoSports for a new web site.
Oxy athletics administrators and members of the PrestoSports team have met for initial brainstorming sessions and have initiated the site design process. The home of the Tigers will debut with a new design and complete integration into the conference site and D3Scoreboard by the end of the calendar year.
"Occidental College is very excited about partnering with PrestoSports for a variety of reasons," said Director of Athletics Jaime Hoffman. "Working with a knowledgeable and insightful PrestoSports staff, who possess a successful background in the field of Division III athletics, will help us to create a remarkable website. A captivating site with current news, photos, scores and stats will allow us to highlight our Tigers student-athletes for their accomplishments on the field of play. Information will be more readily available and user friendly for our student-athletes, fans, alumni, parents and Oxy supporters."
One of the founders of intercollegiate athletics in California, Occidental has regarded athletics as a vital part of a college education since 1894. Occidental's proud tradition of academic and athletic excellence has produced 21 Olympians, many All-Americans, and four Rhodes Scholars. Occidental athletics includes 19 varsity teams and a thriving program of club sports and intramural competition. The Oxy football team is ranked 14th in the D3Football.com Top 25 and recently won its 32nd consecutive regular season game.

PrestoSports hosts the SCIAC site and provides web site solutions for the conference members Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Whittier College. Caltech has recently partnered with PrestoSports and is moving toward a launch of its new site.
