ECAC DIVISION III HOCKEY LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE THROUGH PRESTOSPORTS: INTERNET HOME FOR MEN'S EAST, WOMEN'S EAST, NORTHEAST, MEN'S WEST AND WOMEN'S WEST NOW AT ECACDIIIHOCKEY.COM
ROCKVILLE, Md. - ECAC Division III Hockey, five hockey leagues featuring 54 playing teams, has launched its new web site at ecacdiiihockey.com through PrestoSports. The conference site, which launched just in time for the start of the 2007-08 season, is part of ECACSports.com - the new fan-centric home for the Eastern College Athletic Conference.
The site will take advantage of all of the latest web tools - including the schedule, score and standings integration with D3Scoreboard as part of the PrestoSports network. League institutions can enter their scores into a simple gameday interface which will immediately update the new site's schedules, scoreboards and standings. With one update, this interface will also populate scores and standings for additional members of the PrestoSports network, including member institutions.
In addition to instantly updated scores and standings, the site also features the latest news, information on each league institution, policy and procedure manuals and links to team and league statistics.
"We're excited to help the ECAC continue its effort to spotlight its member institutions and student-athletes," Vice President Patrick Summers said. "This is an exciting time to be associated with the ECAC and we're excited to help the nation's largest conference meet its ambitious goals. With full PrestoSports networking, this site will make updating the conference site more efficient. Perhaps more importantly, it will serve as a valuable tool for league administration and member institutions."
ECAC Division III Hockey features 54 member teams across five different leagues - all administered from the conference offices on Cape Cod. Leagues include ECAC Men's East, ECAC Women's East, ECAC Northeast, ECAC Women's West and ECAC Men's West. Its membership includes 33 men's teams (six NCAA Division II, 27 NCAA Division III) and 21 women's teams (one NCAA Division I, two NCAA Division II and 18 NCAA Division III).
This league site marks the fourth new site the ECAC has launched through PrestoSports since the summer. The ECAC has also partnered with PrestoSports for its administrative home at www.ecac.org; a fan-centric site at www.ecacsports.com and PrestoSports has provided the web-based software for the ECAC Online Officiating system at www.ecac.org/officiating/index. Soon, the conference will launch a fifth new site which will help administer ECAC Lacrosse.
