NORWICH UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS PARTNERS WITH PRESTOSPORTS FOR NEW WEB SITE LAUNCH, NEW HOME FOR THE CADETS AT NORWICHATHLETICS.COM
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Norwich University, a private college combining a military tradition of nearly two centuries and a broad range of traditional undergraduate degree programs located in Northfield, Vt., has launched a new athletics web site with a unique design through PrestoSports at www.norwichathletics.com.
"We are extremely excited about partnering with PrestoSports," said Christian Anderson, Norwich University Sports Information Director. "I think that the new-look web page will help better market Norwich University and its athletic program to all of our audiences, both internal and external. I think our fans, alumni, coaches, student-athletes and prospective students will all be equally pleased with the direction that are headed with our online presence. I would like to thank the team at PrestoSports for making this transition a seamless process for us."
The Cadets compete in 20 varsity sports - 11 of which are a part of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference and two which are part of the ECAC Division III Hockey League. Norwich fields men's teams in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, ice hockey, lacrosse, rugby, soccer, swimming & diving, tennis and wrestling. The women's programs compete in basketball, cross country, ice hockey, lacrosse, rugby, soccer, softball, swimming & diving and volleyball. In recent years, Norwich teams have been regularly found in the national rankings, won conference titles, and won two national championships in ice hockey.
NorwichAthletics.com will feature some of the latest web tools, including instantly updated standings via the PrestoSports network. The new Norwich site will populate with instant scores, standings and more through the D3Scoreboard system via the GNAC and ECAC Division III Hockey interfaces. Additionally, scores will be shared with other members of the PrestoSports network - which includes nearly a dozen New England-based athletics conferences.
"With such a large portion of the student body involved in athletics, we're excited to see what impact a new web site can make for Norwich," PrestoSports Vice President Chris Gonzales said.
