UNIVERSITY OF REDLANDS PARTNERS WITH PRESTOSPORTS FOR NEW WEB SITE, SCIAC DEFENDING ALL-SPORTS TROPHY WINNERS JOIN NETWORK
ROCKVILLE, Md. - The University of Redlands, recipient of the 2006-07 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Sports Trophy, has partnered with PrestoSports for a new athletics web site. The innovative Internet home of the Bulldogs will debut as an individually designed site with all the latest web tools - including complete integration into the d3scoreboard system, the SCIAC site and the entire PrestoSports network in 2008.
"We are very excited about teaming up with PrestoSports to design our new athletics web site, which will create various ways to share and promote the University of Redlands, Bulldog Athletics and the student-athlete experience," commented Director of Athletics Jeff Martinez. "Presto offers a Division III perspective that will help us design a unique web site while continuing to increase the national prominence of the institution and Bulldog Athletics."
Redlands features 21 varsity teams -10 men's and 11 women's programs - and nearly 500 student athletes. Of the 19 SCIAC sports, the Bulldogs won six championships and finished second in eight other sports during the 2006-07 academic year. Among the successful programs include seven straight conference men's swimming championships, seven straight conference men's soccer championships, three straight SCIAC softball titles, and five of the last six conference men's water polo championships. In addition, the women's water polo team has won eight Collegiate III National Championships in 12 years.

Bulldog Athletics competes on a national level and has received national acclaim for its women's athletics. In 2007, Redlands finished second among NCAA Division III schools in showing a "history and continuing practice" of providing more opportunities for female athletes, according to the Chronicle of Higher Education. Since 1999, the Bulldogs have demonstrated an increase of 135% in the number of women competing in intercollegiate athletics. Most recently, Redlands added women's golf as a varsity sport during the spring of 2007.
Located in Redlands, California - midway between Los Angeles and Palm Springs - the University of Redlands boasts an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. Founded in 1907 on property surrounded by orange groves, the University has been described as a liberal arts college, a pre-professional institute and an alternative school all in one. PrestoSports has partnered with six Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference members and the league site. In the past year, PrestoSports has launched sites for Caltech, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Whittier College. Occidental College and the University of La Verne have also partnered with PrestoSports.
