NEW ENGLAND SMALL COLLEGE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE (NESCAC) PARTNERS WITH PRESTOSPORTS FOR NEW WEB SITE, LEAGUE SITE TO LAUNCH LATER THIS WINTER
ROCKVILLE, Md. - The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), a group of 11 highly selective liberal arts colleges and universities that share a similar philosophy for intercollegiate athletics, has partnered with PrestoSports for an innovative new web site. Members of the conference administration and the PrestoSports staff have embarked on the creation of a site which will be representative of one of the nation's top NCAA Division III conferences.
Founded in 1971, the NESCAC was created out of a concern for the direction of intercollegiate athletic programs, and remains committed to keeping a proper perspective on the role of sport in higher education. Member colleges and university include Amherst, Bates, Bowdoin, Colby, Connecticut College, Hamilton, Middlebury, Trinity, Tufts, Wesleyan and current PrestoSports client Williams. The conference was created out of a concern for the direction of intercollegiate athletic programs, and remains committed to keeping a proper perspective on the role of sport in higher education.
"We are pleased to team up with PrestoSports in the development and implementation of a new web site for our conference," commented NESCAC Executive Director Andrea Savage. "We have seen the quality that PrestoSports has provided and look forward to launching a site that will improve the efficiency and standards of the information our administrators, coaches, parents, alumni, fans, and most importantly our student-athletes have come to enjoy."
"We are committed to helping the NESCAC promote its intercollegiate athletes and institutions within the framework of the conference's mission," PrestoSports Product Manager and former NESCAC administrator Robb Modica said. "In addition to a unique site, the NESCAC and its membership will continue to maximize efficiency from score networking with many of the nation's top NCAA Division III conferences and sports media sites."
PrestoSports, the national leader in conference web sites, has
launched or recently partnered with eight conferences in the New
England region and over 30 conferences nationally. The Northeast-10
Conference, the Massachusetts State College
Athletic Conference (MASCAC), the Little East Conference,
the North Atlantic
Conference and the New England
Men's and Women's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) have
launched web sites with PrestoSports while the newly formed
New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) will
launch a site with full networking capabilities in the future. The
NESCAC will also enjoy full d3scoreboard integration throughout New
England as The Commonwealth Coast Conference,
Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and
North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) are D3Scoreboard
clients. Through additional partnerships, scores and standings are
transmitted immediately to some of the nation's top Division III
media web sites including d3football, d3hoops, d3baseball and
d3kicks.
The NESCAC will also take advantage of the PrestoSports online awards
system, which streamlines the nominating, voting and
compilation process for conference players of the week, preseason
polls and all-conference selections.
