CSU-PUEBLO LAUNCHES NEW WEB SITE IN CONJUNCTION WITH RE-OPENING OF
MASSARI ARENA, RMAC SCHOOL'S SITE FEATURES INNOVATIVE NEW
DESIGN AND FEATURES
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Colorado State University-Pueblo, an NCAA Division II member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, has partnered with PrestoSports for a new web site solution at www.gothunderwolves.com. The innovative new home for ThunderWolves Athletics debuted Friday, Feb. 22, in concert with the university's re-opening of Massari Arena, which hosted its first basketball games in nearly two years Friday night.
"The CSU-Pueblo athletics department is excited about the
possibilities our partnership with PrestoSports will provide,"
CSU-Pueblo director of athletics, Joe Folda,
said. "As our athletics department continues to grow and
prosper into the 21st century, we would like our website, the first
contact many people have with our programs, to do the same."
CSU-Pueblo Sports Information Director Anthony Sandstrom has
implemented several unique design and feature items into the new
site. GoThunderWolves.com offers innovative student-athlete
bios, roster
setup, prospective
student-athlete and alumni
interest pages.
GoThunderWolves.com will be the top information source for all ThunderWolves athletics programs. The website will include complete statistics, schedules and biographies of CSU-Pueblo student athletes and coaches, as well as fan polls, multimedia audio and video, behind-the-scenes blogs by CSU-Pueblo Athletics staff and student-athletes, and the ability to purchase tickets to athletics events and ThunderWolves gear linked directly through the website. These features will be implemented into the site in the weeks following the initial launch.
The launch of GoThunderWolves.com occurs alongside several changes and additions occuring within the CSU-Pueblo department of athletics. A variety of construction projects, including the $12.7 million renovation of Massari Arena, the ThunderWolves' football stadium, the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl, and turf renovations at the CSU-Pueblo baseball and softball field at the Rawlings Sports Complex, have dominated the athletics landscape at CSU-Pueblo. The department is also welcoming back three athletics programs - football, wrestling, and women's track and field, which will begin participation in the 2008-09 academic school year. Pueblo also competes in baseball, men's and women's basketball, women's cross country, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, softball, and volleyball.
"It's an exciting time at CSU-Pueblo and we're pleased that they've asked us to be a part of it," PrestoSports Vice President Patrick Summers said. "As the ThunderWolves continue to make their mark in the RMAC and beyond, we're happy they've chosen us to help communicate their message. They've got some truly creative people at CSU-Pueblo and have embarked on an innovative design path."
