CLOSE TO WINTER SEASON BRINGS TRAFFIC RECORDS TO PRESTOSPORTS NETWORK
ROCKVILLE, Md. - PrestoSports, a leading provider of web sites to college athletics, continues to set traffic records across the network. In the month of February, clients across the network saw a 300% growth in traffic from one year ago. To meet the traffic spike, PrestoSports has added more technology to the network.
"We've upgraded our webserver, both to offer clients a newer version and to handle more requests. We've also added compression for our livestats which will make our servers run faster and customers will see their updates even faster," PrestoSports CEO Serge Knystautas said. "We've also added another application server into the pool to help us handle the load."
More sites and more content advancements have given PrestoSports
clients reasons to drive traffic to their sites. ECAC Hockey's
final weekend of the regular season resulted in a record of over
10,000 visits to its site on Friday night and nearly 2,500 visitors
checked out the mobile scoreboard over
the weekend. Sites such as WPI have made their athletics home more
of a destination with livestats updating their schedules and a
posting of video
reaction to the men's basketball team's selection to
the NCAA tournament has already received almost 600 visits.
"As the network continues to grow, we're excited to help meet the challenge," Knystautas added.
