PRESTOSPORTS PARTNERS WITH MASSACHUSETTS MARITIME ACADEMY FOR ATHLETICS WEB SITE
ROCKVILLE, Md. - The Massachusetts Maritime Academy, a member of NCAA Division III located in Buzzards Bay, Mass., has partnered with PrestoSports for a new athletics web site. The unique new home of the Buccaneers will make its debut later this year.
"We're pleased to be a part of this exciting time for Massachusetts Maritime Academy athletics," says PrestoSports Vice President Patrick Summers. "As enhancements are made on campus to facilities and the student-athlete experience, we're pleased the Buccaneers administration has chosen PrestoSports to convey their message on the web."
By partnering with PrestoSports, Massachusetts Maritime Academy's new web site will offer a unique design which will be updated via a user-friendly content management system with tools built specifically for college athletics.
"We're very excited about working with PrestoSports. We've done our homework and found PrestoSports to be the perfect fit for our needs," says Bob Corradi, Athletic Director at Massachusetts Maritime Academy. "Their professionalism, creativity and innovative approach make us confident that when we're done, our new athletic website will be exactly what we want."
As part of the PrestoSports network, MMA will integrate its schedules and results with the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) and New England Football Conference (NEFC) web sites. As soon as results are entered into the MMA, opponent or conference site it will become available to fans across the network.
Located at the mouth of the scenic Cape Cod Canal, MMA offers a wide range of intercollegiate athletics. The Buccaneers baseball, men's cross country, women's cross country, men's soccer, women's soccer, softball and volleyball teams compete in the MASCAC. The football program tackles the NEFC and the men's lacrosse program competes in the Pilgrim League. The Buccaneers also field rifle (Mid Atlantic Rifle Conference), men's and women's crew (U.S. Rowing Association) and co-ed sailing (New England Intercollegiate Yacht Racing Association) teams.
Athletics are an integral part of a rich student life at the Academy. For over 100 years, MMA has been preparing women and men for exciting and rewarding careers on land and sea. As the nation's oldest and finest co-ed maritime college, MMA challenges students to succeed by balancing a unique regimented lifestyle with a typical four-year college environment.
The mission of Massachusetts Maritime Academy is to graduate educated men and women to serve the maritime industry as licensed officers or to serve the transportation, engineering, environmental, and industrial interests of the Commonwealth and the Nation.
