PRESTOSPORTS PARTNERS WITH GREEN MOUNTAIN COLLEGE FOR NEW ATHLETICS WEB SITE

ROCKVILLE, Md. - Green Mountain College, an NCAA Division III institution joining the North Atlantic Conference starting in the fall, has partnered with PrestoSports for a new athletics web site. Members of the PrestoSports staff and Green Mountain athletics and communications administrators have embarked on the site development which will feature complete integration into the PrestoSports network.

"We're pleased to help Green Mountain enhance its position on the web," said PrestoSports Product Manager Robb Modica. "We enjoy the opportunity to work with the college administration and athletics departments to help them achieve their goals. They are clearly committed to the college and its student-athletes."

By partnering with PrestoSports, Green Mountain will take advantage of the nation's largest network of NCAA Division III schedules and results. The new Green Mountain site will populate instantly with scores and more through the PrestoSports network. Scores entered into the PrestoSports network will immediately update the Green Mountain site and be shared with the NAC site, d3scoreboard.com, d3hoops.com, d3kicks.com, many New England conferences and institutions.  

"Green Mountain is fortunate to have the expertise of PrestoSports to make our needed transition to the athletic Web market," Green Mountain College Director of Athletics Ray Campanile said. "The assistance has been first rate and GMC cannot be happier with the partnership that has budded with Presto.  Only great Web opportunities exist for our student-athletes moving forward."

Green Mountain's new web site will also benefit from a customized content management system built specifically for college athletics. Members of the athletics department will be able to update the new site with news, statistics, scores and more from any computer with Internet access.

"We have desperately needed something new and innovative for our student-athletes.  PrestoSports has created such a strong commitment to making the Web process a seamless enterprise that our administrators and coaches wait in anticipation to exercise this potential in the market place," Campanile added. 

Green Mountain College was founded in 1834 by the Troy Conference of the United Methodist Church. Throughout its 173-year history, strong teacher-student relationships have been the hallmark of a GMC education, a tradition that continues today.

Green Mountain College is situated in southern Vermont's beautiful lakes region, with the Adirondack Mountains to the west and the Green Mountains to the east. GMC
