PRESTOSPORTS PARTNERS WITH HARDIN-SIMMONS UNIVERSITY FOR ATHLETICS WEB SITE, HOME OF THE COWBOYS SCHEDULED FOR SUMMER LAUNCH
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Hardin-Simmons University, an NCAA Division III member of the American Southwest Conference located in Abilene, Texas, has partnered with PrestoSports for a new athletics web site. Members of the Hardin-Simmons athletics staff and PrestoSports design team have embarked on the site development which will feature complete integration into the PrestoSports network for a summer launch.
The PrestoSports network allows institutions to take advantage of a technology platform that connects institutions, conferences and media sites for immediate score, schedule and standings updating. Hardin-Simmons will take advantage of this feature via live statistics offerings for many sports. As live statistics are entered at the point of competition, it will immediately update the Hardin-Simmons web site, conferences sites that are part of the PrestoSports network and national media outlets such as d3football and d3hoops.
Via a custom designed tool, PrestoSports will assist Hardin-Simmons in transitioning from its current provider to the PrestoSports content management system.
"We're eager to transition Hardin-Simmons University from its current provider to our platform," says PrestoSports Vice President Patrick Summers. "It's evident that Hardin-Simmons athletics has the best interests of its student-athletes in mind and we're excited to help them meet their new web site goals."
The new Hardin-Simmons web site will also benefit from a customized content management system built specifically for college athletics. Members of the athletics department will be able to update the new site with news, statistics, scores and more from any computer with Internet access.
"We are excited about our new relationship with PrestoSports," Hardin-Simmons Sports Information Director Chad Grubbs said. "They share our vision of having a first-class web site, that serves our fan base, alumni, current student-athletes and potential student-athletes. We look forward to an extended relationship with PrestoSports."
Hardin-Simmons fields teams in football, baseball, softball, women's volleyball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's soccer and men's and women's basketball. Cross-country and track teams will make their debut in the 2008-09 academic year.
