PRESTOSPORTS PARTNERS WITH MERRIMACK COLLEGE, NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE AND HOCKEY EAST MEMBER TO LAUNCH NEW SITE LATER THIS YEAR
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Merrimack College, an NCAA Division II member of the Northeast-10 Conference and NCAA Division I men's ice hockey member of Hockey East, has partnered with PrestoSports for a new athletics web site. The home of the Warriors is expected to launch later this year with all of the latest PrestoSports technology including complete integration into the PrestoSports network.
"We're thrilled to partner with Merrimack College for its athletics web site. Merrimack joins a growing network that currently includes nine members of the Northeast-10 Conference and many institutions and conferences throughout New England. Through the PrestoSports Network, Merrimack's site will integrate into the Northeast-10 Conference and other PrestoSports sites for immediate score and schedule updates.
"We are excited to be launching our new athletics website in conjunction with the college's launching of its new webpage," said Interim Director of Athletics Joe Iarrobino. "We are looking forward to our new partnership with PrestoSports and to using the new ideas and concepts they have brought to Merrimack College and the Northeast-10."
In addition to a uniquely designed site, Merrimack will receive immediate technology enhancements to its content management system as a PrestoSports partner. Some of the features include RSS for all sport headlines and schedules, live statistics which offer simultaneous updates of the viewer, Merrimack site and Northeast-10 Conference site, video clips and other dynamic ways to feature content. Upon release, feature enhancements become available to the entire PrestoSports Network.
Merrimack College currently sponsors 16 intercollegiate varsity sports (eight for men and eight for women). Fifteen of the sports compete at the NCAA Division II level in the Northeast-10 Conference, while men's hockey competes in the Hockey East Association.
