BABSON COLLEGE PARTNERS WITH PRESTOSPORTS FOR ATHLETICS WEB SITE, TRANSITION FROM CURRENT PROVIDER UNDERWAY
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Babson College, an NCAA Division III member of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC), has partnered with PrestoSports for a new athletics web site. Babson will keep the same design to its web site while integrating its scores, schedules and other features into the PrestoSports Network.
"We're pleased Babson College has chosen to transition its web site from its current provider to our platform," PrestoSports Vice President Patrick Summers said. "Babson has made athletics an important part of its mission to build tomorrow's leaders. We're excited to help meet the challenge of helping Babson continue to showcase its programs and student-athletes to audiences around the globe."
The PrestoSports Network allows institutions to take advantage of a technology platform that connects institutions, conferences and media sites for immediate score, schedule and standings updating. Once scores and schedules are entered into the Babson web site, they will immediately update opponents' sites, conferences which include the NEWMAC, ECAC Men's East (hockey) and Pilgrim League (lacrosse), and national media outlets such as d3football and d3hoops.
"This switch was an easy choice for us," Babson Director of Athletics Josh MacArthur said. "Patrick and the folks at PrestoSports know our conference and they know Babson. They have made our transition incredibly simple and provided additional features that will suit our department needs. We look forward to working with them over the next few years."
Via a custom designed tool, PrestoSports has assisted Babson in transitioning from its current provider to the PrestoSports content management system.
Babson athletes compete in 22 intercollegiate sports - 11 men's sports and 11 women's. The Beavers field men's teams in alpine skiing, baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, swimming & diving, tennis and track & field. Babson's women athletes compete in alpine skiing, basketball, cross country, field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming & diving, tennis, track & field and volleyball.
Consistently ranked among the nation's top business colleges and recognized internationally as a leader in entrepreneurial management education, Babson is located in Wellesley, Mass.
