FITCHBURG STATE COLLEGE PARTNERS WITH PRESTOSPORTS FOR NEW ATHLETICS WEB SITE
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Fitchburg State College, an NCAA Division III member of the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC), has become the fourth MASCAC school to partner with PrestoSports to develop its new athletics web site.
"A resourceful and user-friendly athletics web site is a critical component to a collegiate athletics program," said Sue Lauder, Fitchburg State College athletics director. "By aligning ourselves with PrestoSports, we feel confident our web site will provide an optimal experience to all users including current and future student-athletes, as well as supporters of FSC athletics."
By partnering with PrestoSports, the Falcons' new web site will be updated via a user-friendly content management system with tools built specifically for college athletics. Scores, schedules, and standings, will integrate with and immediately update conference, institution, and media sites that are part of the PrestoSports Network.
"We're pleased Fitchburg State has chosen PrestoSports for its new site," says PrestoSports Product Manager Robb Modica. "It has been evident from our first planning meetings that the Falcons administration has its sights set on an ambitious new design."
Fitchburg State competes in 16 intercollegiate sports: baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, football, men's ice hockey, men's and women's soccer, softball, and men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field. Ten Fitchburg teams compete in the MASCAC, while the field hockey team is a member of the Little East Conference, the women's lacrosse team is a member of the New England Women's Lacrosse Association, the football team is a member of the New England Football Conference, and the ice hockey team is a member of the ECAC Northeast Conference.
PrestoSports hosts the web sites for the MASCAC, Little East Conference, ECAC Division III Hockey and NEWLA; the New England Football Conference will launch its new site on the network prior to the fall season.
