MEMBERSHIP UPDATE SYSTEM FOR COLLEGIATE WATER POLO
ASSOCIATION
Members will have access to update data
ROCKVILLE, Md. - PrestoSports, a leading provider of content management software and technology solutions to college athletics, has released a membership update system which will allow Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) members to update team information directly into the association web site at www.collegiatewaterpolo.org.
"The ability for our membership to update their own contact information will make our lives much easier. With such a large membership, maintaining this data for our individual coaches is a challenge," says Collegiate Water Polo Association Commissioner Dan Sharadin. "Providing them with the opportunity to keep it accurate not only saves our staff time, but gives our coaches control over their own information. It is just one more step in the process of making our website more user-friendly for our membership and we are excited to have it available by our fall season."
Instant membership updates will streamline communication among the CWPA's 242 men's and women's teams at more than 100 institutions. The new group membership system developed for the CWPA marks the beta phase for the development. The feature will become available to all PrestoSports conference and association clients later this year.
"We're pleased to offer another feature which will improve operational efficiency for our clients," says PrestoSports Vice President Patrick Summers. "The CWPA is focused on using technology to remain on the leading edge: We're excited to help them get there. This additional feature will pay dividends for the CWPA and its entire membership."
PrestoSports partnered with the CWPA, the third largest association in college athletics, to launch its new web site in spring 2008. It's one of more than 40 associations and conferences utilizing unique administrative tools as part of the PrestoSports Network.
Through the PrestoSports Network, the CWPA provides a number of unique services to its membership including scheduling, discounted travel arrangements, player recognition, publicity, fundraising assistance, awards and officiating assignments, and training. The CWPA will also utilize online awards and a Scoreboard Interface, which will allow members to immediately update CWPA scores and schedules.
