GEORGIA COLLEGE & STATE UNIVERSITY BECOMES FIFTH PEACH BELT CONFERENCE MEMBER TO PARTNER WITH PRESTOSPORTS
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Georgia College & State
University, an NCAA Division II member of the Peach Belt Conference,
has partnered with PrestoSports to create a new
athletics web site. The Bobcats mark the fifth member of the Peach
Belt to partner with PrestoSports for a unique web site. GCSU's new
site is expected to launch early next year.
"We're excited about the opportunities brought to us by the design
and operation of a PrestoSports web site," says GCSU Sports
Information Director Al Weston. "The web is one of the main
resources for collegiate athletic programs, and to be able to reach
our audiences more efficiently and effectively is a definite plus."
By partnering with PrestoSports, GSCU's athletics site will receive a unique new design, access to a content management system built for college athletics, and continuous technology upgrades. Athletics administrators will be able to update scores and add stories, photos, statistics, video, and more, via custom PrestoSports tools.
PrestoSports also hosts the Peach Belt Conference site at www.peachbeltconference.org as well as athletics sites for conference members Armstrong Atlantic, Francis Marion, Georgia Southwestern and North Georgia. As part of the PrestoSports Network, scores and schedules entered into member web sites also immediately update the scoreboards, schedules and standings on the Peach Belt and member institutions' sites using the PrestoSports Network.

The GCSU Department of Athletics sponsors 10 NCAA Division II athletics programs. Bobcats compete in baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, golf, men's and women's tennis, women's soccer and softball.
