CHAPMAN UNIVERSITY PARTNERS WITH PRESTOSPORTS FOR HEIGHTENED, INTERACTIVE ATHLETICS WEB PRESENCE
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Chapman
University, an NCAA Division III independent located in Orange,
Calif., has partnered with PrestoSports to create a
new athletics web site. The Panthers are the eighth NCAA Division
III institution located in Southern California to partner with
PrestoSports.
"In this day and age, we realize how important it is to have a
sharp website for our fans and prospective student-athletes," says
David Currey, Chapman University Director of Athletics. "We've been
impressed with the work PrestoSports has done for our opponents'
and we're happy to get on board."
By partnering with PrestoSports, Chapman University's athletics site will receive a unique new design, access to a content management system built for college athletics, and continuous technology upgrades. Athletics administrators will be able to update scores, and add stories, photos, statistics, video, and more, via custom PrestoSports features.
As part of the PrestoSports Network, scores entered into the Chapman web site through traditional or mobile entry systems will immediately update the web site's scoreboards, schedules and national media sites such as d3hoops and d3football. With continuous technology upgrades, Chapman athletics administrators will be able to update scores, and add stories, photos, statistics, video, and more, via custom PrestoSports tools.
PrestoSports also hosts the athletics web sites for many of Chapman's regional competitors such as Cal Tech, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, LaVerne, Occidental, Pomona (in development), Redlands, and Whittier.
"We're excited to add Chapman University to our network," says PrestoSports COO Patrick B. Summers. "Through features developed specifically for college athletics, Chapman's new site will provide an interactive look at all that the school has to offer, and will help Chapman achieve its goals of engaging its alumni, fans, current and prospective students."
Chapman University fields 18 intercollegiate teams. The Panthers boast men's programs in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, tennis and water polo. Women's sports include basketball, crew, cross country, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track & field, volleyball and water polo. Chapman has captured national championships in the sports of baseball, tennis and softball.
