Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts launches athletics web
site
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA), an NCAA Division III member of the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) located in North Adams, Mass., has partnered with PrestoSports to create a new athletics web site. The Trailblazers are the fifth member of the MASCAC to partner with PrestoSports for web site solutions. The new site is http://athletics.mcla.edu.
"The MCLA Athletics Department is extremely excited to partner with PrestoSports on our new athletic web site," says MCLA Athletics Director Scott Nichols. "President Grant and the college have demonstrated a strong commitment to MCLA athletics and the new web site will further enhance the profile of our department. "This site will provide an opportunity to highlight the many great accomplishments of our student-athletes, coaches and teams."
By partnering with PrestoSports, the MCLA athletics site received a unique design, access to a content management system built for college athletics and continuous technology upgrades. Athletics administrators will now be able to update scores, and add stories, photos, statistics, video, and more via custom PrestoSports tools.
"The new site will offer the college community as well as the parents, friends and families of our student-athletes the opportunity to follow the accomplishments of their respective teams," says MCLA Sports Information Director Deb Raber. "The addition of this site provides further evidence of our institution's commitment and support in the development of the MCLA Athletics Department."
PrestoSports also hosts the MASCAC site at www.mascac.com as well as athletics sites for conference members Bridgewater State, Fitchburg State, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, and Worcester State. As part of the PrestoSports Network, scores and schedules entered into member web sites also immediately update the scoreboards, schedules and standings on the MASCAC and member institutions using the PrestoSports Network.
"We're pleased to add MCLA to our network," says PrestoSports COO Patrick B. Summers. "The administration has been clear in its mission to create an atmosphere of excellence. We're excited to help achieve this goal through our technology tools and tested expertise."
MCLA competes in 11 intercollegiate sports: baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, men's golf, men's and women's soccer, softball, women's tennis, and women's volleyball.
