FERRIS STATE UNIVERSITY PARTNERS WITH PRESTOSPORTS

ROCKVILLE, Md. - Ferris State University, an NCAA Division II member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference located in Big Rapids, Mich., has partnered with PrestoSports for its athletics web site. Ferris State recently launched its new web site at www.ferris.edu/sports.

"We're excited for the opportunity to work with another member of the GLIAC," says PrestoSports COO Patrick B. Summers. "Athletics provides a rallying point for the campus, community, and alumni. Our team is eager to work with Ferris State to enhance its opportunity to reach these audiences through a unique web presence."

The new Ferris State web site will include a unique design and a number of innovative features which put athletics administrators in complete control of the look of and content within the web site. Some of the distinctive features which will be implemented on the new home for the Bulldogs will include interactive statistics, video clips, feature stories and links to Ferris State's Facebook and Twitter pages.

"We're extremely excited for the possibilities this new website will provide," said FSU Athletics Director Tom Kirinovic. "With the outstanding success our student-athletes have achieved both on the field and in the classroom, this will give us an enhanced marketing tool to help promote that success."

The Bulldogs are the second member of the GLIAC to partner with PrestoSports. Lake Superior State launched its web site with PrestoSports last summer. The GLIAC site is also a part of the PrestoSports Network.

Michigan's fastest growing public university, Ferris State features big-school resources with plenty of extracurricular activities in a relaxed, small-town setting in the heart of west-central Michigan. Founded in 1884 with 15 students, Ferris State has grown to an enrollment which averages nearly 14,000 students. More than 170 degrees which lead to a 98% job placement are offered through the colleges of Allied Health Sciences, Arts and Sciences, Business, Education and Human Services, Optometry, Pharmacy, Professional and Technological Studies, and Engineering Technology.

Ferris State University Athletics integrates intercollegiate athletics into higher education by providing a program that has lasting importance on students' future success. The Bulldogs compete in 14 men's and women's sports at the NCAA Division II level in the GLIAC, while the NCAA Division I men's ice hockey program competes in the CCHA. Since joining the GLIAC in the fall of 1997, Ferris State has finished in the top five of the President's Trophy standings.
