PRESTOSPORTS PARTNERS WITH OGLETHORPE UNIVERSITY
SCAC member launches new web site

ROCKVILLE, Md. - Oglethorpe University, an NCAA Division III member of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference located in Atlanta, has partnered with PrestoSports to launch a new athletics web site. The new home for the Stormy Petrels recently launched at www.gopetrels.com.

"We're pleased to work with Oglethorpe on this project," says PrestoSports Chief Executive Officer Serge Knystautas. "We're excited to extend our services to another member of the SCAC."

Oglethorpe's new site launched with a unique new design and a number of innovative features which put athletics administrators in complete control of the look of and content within the web site. Some of the distinctive features implemented on gopetrels.com include rotating headlines, enhanced XML statistics, Petrel of the Week, SCAC standings, links to broadcasts, podcasts, merchandizing, social networking sites and more.

"We are thrilled to have this new image of Oglethorpe sports on the Internet," says athletics director Jay Gardiner. "The new look and feel of this website should greatly enhance both our student-athletes and fans online visits as they follow Stormy Petrel athletics."

PrestoSports' services and technology will allow Oglethorpe University fans, alums and media to quickly find information about the school's teams. Now part of the PrestoSports Network, scores entered into the Oglethorpe web site through traditional or mobile entry systems will immediately update the web site's schedules, the SCAC schedules, and national media sites such as D3Hoops, D3Baseball and D3Soccer.

Oglethorpe currently features 14 intercollegiate sports. Men's lacrosse will become the 15th varsity sport when the team begins play for the 2010-11 season and women's lacrosse will take the field as the 16th varsity sport for the 2012-13 academic year.

Located in Atlanta and founded in 1835, Oglethorpe enrolls over 1,000 students representing 34 states and 36 countries. The Princeton Review's The Best 368 Colleges 2008 edition ranks Oglethorpe in its prestigious list and also names it a Best Southeastern College. Oglethorpe University is Georgia's only coeducational member of the Annapolis Group, an organization of America's most selective liberal arts institutions.
