PRESTOSPORTS PARTNERS WITH WHEATON COLLEGE
NEWMAC member launches new web site

ROCKVILLE, Md. - Wheaton College, an NCAA Division III member of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) located in Norton, Mass., has partnered with PrestoSports to launch a new athletics web site. The new home for the Lyons recently launched at athletics.wheatoncollege.edu.

"We're pleased to work with Wheaton College and its athletics department on this web site project," says PrestoSports Chief Executive Officer Serge Knystautas. "We're excited to extend our services to another distinguished member of the NEWMAC."

Wheaton's new site launched with a unique new design and a number of innovative features which put athletics administrators in complete control of the look of and content within the web site. Some of the distinctive features implemented on the site include rotating story features, conference standings and an interactive poll. Areas of the site were integrated with the institutional site, which displays sections such as "Off the Field" for student-athlete blogs.  The "Champions" feature highlights success in the classroom and community in addition to conference and national championships won.

"We're extremely excited to have partnered with PrestoSports, which has provided athletics solutions for a number of years," said Assistant Director of Athletics for Media Relations Scott Dietz.  "This platform will assist with the promotion of the outstanding success stories of our student-athletes and programs.  We feel confident our site and its many distinct offerings are now in line with some of the top Division III sites in the country."

PrestoSports' services and technology will allow Wheaton fans, alums and media to quickly find information about the school's teams. Now part of the PrestoSports Network, scores entered into the Wheaton web site through traditional or mobile entry systems will immediately update the web site's schedules, conference schedules, and national media sites such as D3Hoops, D3Baseball and D3Soccer.

PrestoSports also hosts the official New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Web site, which allows for the implementation of conference standings and additional features on the Wheaton site. League members Babson College (http://www.babsonathletics.com), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (http://www.mitathletics.com) and Worcester Polytechnic Institute (http://wpi.prestosports.com) also have sites hosted by PrestoSports.

Founded in 1834, Wheaton is a selective national liberal arts college with 1,550 students drawn from virtually every state and more than 69 countries. The college combines a traditional curriculum in the arts and sciences with an innovative emphasis on real-world experience - internships, jobs and volunteer service - to help students make the connection between theory and practice.
