PrestoSports partners with Columbus State University
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Columbus State University, an NCAA Division II member of the Peach Belt Conference, has partnered with PrestoSports to launch a new athletics web site. The new home for the Cougars recently launched at www.csucougars.com.
"We're pleased to work with Columbus State and its athletics department on this new web site," says PrestoSports Chief Executive Officer Serge Knystautas. "It's been exciting to bring our services to another member of the Peach Belt Conference."
Columbus State's new site launched with a unique new design and a number of innovative features. Some of the distinctive features implemented on csucougars.com include a blended header which changes on refresh for the main page, sport-specific headers, a scoreboard ticker, rotating stories, XML statistics, Cougar of the Week and more.
"It makes a lot of sense for us to make this move to PrestoSports at this time," said CSU Assistant Athletic Director for Communication Mike Peacock. "The timing is perfect and we are now able to network with other PBC schools."
PrestoSports' services and technology will allow fans and others to quickly find information about the school's teams. Now part of the PrestoSports Network, scores entered into the web site through traditional or mobile entry systems will immediately update the web site's schedules and integrate into other PrestoSports sites including the Peach Belt site and eight league members.
Columbus State offers a number of opportunities for its student-athletes. The Cougars field men's programs in baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, tennis and track. Women's teams compete in basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis and track. Columbus State also sponsors co-ed rifle and spirit teams in cheer and dance.
PrestoSports hosts the web site for the Peach Belt Conference at www.peachbeltconference.org. League members Armstrong Atlantic State, Francis Marion, Georgia College & State University, Georgia Southwestern, University of Montevallo, North Georgia and USC Aiken have also launched sites on the network.
