The PrestoSports Network
A unique feature that PrestoSports has developed is the ability to
network websites. By networking school, conference and collegiate
athletic-related sites, we can take data from one school on the
PrestoSports Network, and share it immediately and simultaneously
with other sites.
PrestoSports acquired D3Scoreboard, the nation’s
leading schedule and standings management system in 2007. D3
Scoreboard, founded by PrestoSports Product Manager Robb Modica, updates scores,
schedules and standings for over 20 NCAA Division III conference
sites and powers score reporting for several media sites. Through
the acquisition, the D3Scoreboard system was integrated into the
PrestoSports network of conference and institutional sites –
providing instant data updates to all web sites in the network.
Using the PrestoSports technology to network our sites allows the immediate sharing of information across the country and the ability for fans, coaches and media to be better served.
Any member institution on the PrestoSports network can choose to instantaneously send updates to the conference office’s scheduling system, reducing the time staff spends on updating standings, scores and schedules.
The PrestoSports Network includes almost 250 schools and conferences across the country. Affiliated sites, include d3hoops.com, d3football.com, d3kicks.com and d3baseball.com.
Taking the Network a step further, we have advanced our network by being able to integrate our live stats service. As games are scored in-game, the information that is transmitted to update our live stats viewer will also update websites across the PrestoSports Network. This means that while a game is being played, scores will show up on PrestoSports networked websites as the game progresses. As an example, go to ECACHockey.com on a night when games are being played and you will see live, in-game scoring updates at the ECAC Hockey Scoreboard.
Our goal in this is to utilize technology to
the fullest and to eliminate the need for redundant entering of
information and improving efficiency for institutions and
conferences.
